Suitable for beginners

The course is developed from the Early Buddhist Meditation on Four Foundations of Mindfulness (Satipatthana), inspired by the works of Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn of University of Massachusetts Medical School with MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) and Dr Mark Williams of Oxford University with MBCT (Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy). The ‘Day Retreat’ is added to take your meditation practice a step further – with particular emphasis on developing Loving-Kindness (Metta Bhavana) and Noble Silence for further emotional regulation and resilience. The course is led by Karuna Priya, Buddhist Chaplain to Imperial College and Royal College of Arts and Nitima Priya, a Holistic Counsellor and Meditation teacher based on her Nepalese/Tibetan Buddhist practice.
