During any of Akanista events your wellbeing is very important to us. Whilst the team is here to facilitate you, we ask you to monitor your own physical and emotional wellbeing during our events (events refers to all the program we provide – classes/ workshops, retreats and CPD courses). If at anytime during the event you become distressed and emotionally overwhelmed we ask you to immediately inform one of the facilitator and leave the room if necessary. By attending any of our events you agree by the below statements:
□ I am participating in Akanista’s event of my own free will and accept total responsibility for my physical and emotional well-being at all times. I am in good state emotional, mental and physical health. I am fully responsible for all the emotions that I bring to any of the events.
□ I am not under the influence of any drugs, medication or alcohol. If I am taking medication, I declare that I have been seen by a medical practitioner and have been advised that my participation in this workshop will not cause me harm of any way (to myself or anyone else).
□ Events that Akanista provides is not a substitute for psychiatric or medical advice, diagnosis, and treatment of any type. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified mental health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or mental disorder. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on our site, articles, email or during any of our events. I take full responsibility for seeking medical treatment, counselling or psychotherapy at my own cost for any emotional issues that arise before, during or after the event.
□ We are all here to learn more about holistic healing together as a team, and we will encourage each other to create an environment conducive to learn. To have a constructive and useful outcome to our events, I will work with the group to achieve that.
□ I will do my best to be honest and true to self and others. I will be non judgmental when commenting respect my own and other experiences, needs and priorities and expect the same in return. I will do my best to avoid using humour (especially sarcasm) in a manner that belittles another participant.
□ I will express any issues or concerns that I have about the event, content or processes to the facilitators rather than keeping silent or only talking to others on breaks.
□ The personal feelings expressed by others in the event are kept in confidence. It is crucial that you maintain the confidentiality hence:
- Any information that is discussed by the group is kept private and confidential specially the name of the person.
- I will not directly or indirectly communicate or disclose in writing or orally or in any other manner, any information that is stated by another member of the group during or after the event.
- I will always talk from the first person from ‘I and my’ during sharing experience and discussion.
□ I understand that during the event, there may be loud music, brightness of light may vary, video displays and may be encouraged to participate or share your experience.
□ If a team member asks me to leave the room, I will do so immediately without questions, discussions or dispute. (free event)
□ I am not a member of the press and I will not make visual or auditory recordings or reproductions of any of Akanista’s material presented in or associated with any of Akanista events (unless authorised by Akanista in advance).
□ *PROMOTING YOUR BUSINESS* As you and other participants are in this event to learn and grow, please respect this time and space, we want to make the most out of this time to support your practice and self development. Please note that this is not a networking event; IF IT FEELS LIKE A PROMO THEN IT IS A PROMO so please do not waste time promoting your business in this platform.
□ By completing Akanista workshops and events, you are not
- Qualified to teach Mindfulness Meditation or other interventions
- Not a certificated practitioner
- Nor have you permission to facilitate audience
□ I will use the information presented during this event to assist me in creating change in my life and for no other purpose and I am responsible for decisions made or action taken to implement such information, mentoring or guidance.
□ I understand that Akanista team may take the video recording and photos during the workshop, specially free events which may be used to promote Akanista events in the future.
□ If food provided during any of Akanista events, it is complimentary. If you are on special diet please bring your own food. Participants concerned with food allergies need to be aware of this risk. We will not assume any liability for adverse reaction to foods consumed or items one may come in contact with food we provide.
□ Akanista may contact you by mail, email, telephone, SMS or via the internet in relation to the events, products or services in which you may be interested. If you wish to opt-out of such communications, please write to us email@example.com .
□ Any event that you book as a package (Block Booking Courses) e.g. Monthly Maintenance, Six Weeks courses, please note that all the dates are provided in advance. If you are unable to make it on certain dates there is no exchange or refund policy. However the materials if any given on the day will be mailed to you. It is your responsibility to book all the dates in your diary so you do not miss the classes.

Terms & Conditions for the courses/ workshops
Please note that all the dates for courses and workshops are on Akanista website in advance, therefore please ensure that you booking all the dates in advance on your diary. If you are unable to attend the session we can not offer you refund or exchange. However you will receive all the materials for that session.
Further Terms & Conditions applies for those doing CPD course. CPD courses are for any professionals who wants to incorporate Mindfulness Meditation in their own daily practices. With Akanista CPD course you can:
- use Mindfulness as a tool in your personal life
- apply formal and informal Mindfulness practices in your personal life
- introduce and support your close friends and family to Mindfulness practice
By completing Akanista CPD course you are
- Not qualified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher
- Not certificated practitioner
- Not to facilitate to audience who are going through chronic or medium/ high level of anxiety, stress, depression or any form of Mental health
You are responsible to check the state of your audiences mental health. If they are undergoing high level of anxiety or stress you are not qualified to facilitate Mindfulness meditation with this course. You must refer them to a professional practitioner if they show any signs of chronic anxiety, stress or depression.
□ You understand that Mindfulness is not same as Relaxation meditation
□ You have understanding that there is difference between Yoga and Mindfulness meditation
□ CPD courses that Akanista facilitates are not substitute for psychiatric or medical advice, diagnosis, and treatment of any type. You are to make the payments in full in advance before the events otherwise we cannot guarantee your space.
Cancellations or amendments
In the unfortunate event that you cancel or require amendments, you will be charged for all the classes/ days you attended and will be charged £10 for further cancellation or any amendments. All cancellation and amendments must be confirmed to us in writing.
Fees for cancellations/ reductions in numbers are calculated as detailed below are based on the total value of the confirmed bookings for all events. The below applies in all purchase including discount offers.
