Sharing the good news
We were excited to share this news with our dearest friend and client, AT, who didn’t hesitate to invite herself. Just kidding—we invited her! Her husband, who loves hiking and traveling, is also joining. They have experience traveling in South Asia and absolutely love it, especially the food, cooking lessons, spending time with locals, and sightseeing.
How the Hide & Seek Project was born?
Our dearest friends and clients, VMO & RPO, had this wild idea – a journey to the Himalayas together. Yep, you read that right! It was as outrageous as it sounds. At first, we weren't sure if we could commit to such a big project, but we were definitely open to the idea.
Meanwhile, Nitima was heading to Nepal for a personal retreat for two months and planned to stay for a while. As luck would have it, her cousin, a professional guide who regularly takes people on hiking and cultural trips, was available too. All these little signs started to align, and we thought, "Why not take this idea further?"
We decided to propose the idea to our larger community and see what everyone thought. With some guidance from our tour specialists, we realized it was totally doable. We also caught up with Rick and Val to see what they were hoping for on this amazing adventure. That’s when the idea of blending hiking, cultural immersion, monastery life, farm experiences, and relaxation started to take shape.
And just like that, The Hike and Seek Project was born!
This was meant to be.
Nitima and Karuna are masters of their craft and put together a balanced, comprehensive, and life changing program. And they are both so generous and caring! The combination of meditation, creative work, Buddhist philosophy and hiking was beyond anything I could have hoped for. I HIGHLY recommend doing a retreat with Nitima and Karuna and Akanista Holistic Wellbeing.
