Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga classes are designed to support meditation and flexibility. This beginner’s Hatha Yoga class is led by Karuna and involves gentle, mindful asana movements, breathwork, and occasionally mantras. Relaxing music will play in the background. You are welcome to join! Please wear comfortable clothing.

Mindfulness Meditation

Learn the art of meditation for peace, emotional understanding and happiness. Mindfulness is a simple, practical and self-empowering way for you to improve your health, resolve relationship conflicts and enable yourself to discard limiting beliefs that are holding you back. Mindfulness has been shown to reduce anxiety levels by 58% and stress by 40% (Krusche et al, 2013, Oxford University).

Buddhist Meditation

Buddhist meditation can help you to unplug and detach from the stress of daily life. These sessions are especially suitable for those seeking to reduce anxiety, re-align balance or practice loving kindness. Buddhist approaches to the mind and life can help you better acknowledge change, suffering and relationships.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga classes are designed to support meditation, rejuvination and relaxation. This beginner’s Yin Yoga class is led by Karuna and involves gentle, mindful asana movements, breathwork, and yoga nidra. Relaxing music will play in the background. You are welcome to join! Please wear comfortable clothing.

Sangha Gathering

Join us for a peaceful, monthly meditation gathering. It’s a warm, welcoming space to deepen your practice with the Akanista team. Connect with others who share your journey. Each month, you’ll enjoy a gentle relaxation to ground yourself, a warm welcome with our chosen theme, a deep meditation to take you further, and a dharma talk for new insights, plus optional space to share if you’d like.
